Startup Booster is the leading startup competition in the world of Composite & Advanced Materials.
The next edition of Startup Booster will take place during JEC Forum Italy on June 6-7, 2023 in Bologna (Italy)
Launched in 2017, Startup Booster has been organized in three different regions (Europe, USA and Asia) and has already fostered the emergence of 700+ innovative projects from 60+ countries, 80 finalists and 25 winners, including Arevo, Continuous Composites, FibreCoat, Fortify and Vartega.
Open to entrepreneurs, SMEs, startups and academic spinoffs building innovative composite and advanced materials projects, based in Italy.
Startup Booster competition categories include:
5 Startups will be selected to participate in JEC Forum Italy 2023 on June 6-7, in Bologna (Italy), to pitch in front of a jury composed of industry experts and materials investors (jury to be announced soon).
The 5 startups will benefit from:
Out of the 5 finalists, 1 winner will be selected by the jury of the competition
The winner will be directly qualified for the final of Startup Booster at JEC World 2024 (among the 20 finalists), will be featured in the Startup Village of JEC World 2024 and will pitch in front of the main sponsors of the competition (Airbus, Mercedes-Benz, Owens Corning, and Mitsubishi)
This session will feature presentations from highly innovative automotive companies and from a research and technology organization serving companies and institutions. Participants will have the opportunity to explore topics related to product and process innovation and the production of new devices for the cars of the future. These topics will help in inspiring participants seeking new markets for their products or new solutions for their markets.
Attilio Masini (R&D Technical Area, Composites Materials & Technologies Center, Automobili Lamborghini)
Andrea Bedeschi (General Manager, Bucci Composites)
Giustiniano Andreassi (General Manager R&D ESEA Group)
Giuseppe Buccoliero (Head of Technologies and Processes Area, CETMA)
This session focuses on recent developments in the construction industry both at the European level with the draft new Eurocodes for composite structures and at the Italian level with the new Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport Guidelines on the use of composite reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete. The speakers are of high level and expertise, and the topics covered are of considerable importance to the built environment market. Participants will therefore have a unique opportunity to learn more about these topics from a technical and regulatory perspective.
